Minshull Street is set inside Manchester City Centre's business heartland. This is an existing building set on the corner of Canal Street bars and restaurants and opposite the Crown Courts. It is within a conservation area. Boys worked closely with Probation Services, the Home Office, Project Manager and Conservation Officer to ensure a high standard of finish both internally and externally to what is a six storey building (two floors below ground level). The building underwent substantial refurbishment of external timber, sliding sash and some steel windows, along with substantial brickwork and masonry repairs. In addition, the internal floorplates were reconfigured to meet current commercial office standards. It also involved significant tanking, and fire proofing whilst retaining existing features and improving them. The project was "turn key" and also involved the relocation of staff.
