About the Role We now have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Site Manager to join our team. Reporting into the Contracts Manager, this role will be responsible for delivering new homes as part of a broader range of ongoing activities in construction, development and property investment.
Key responsibilities will include ensuring handover of projects on time and to the required quality and standard; liaison with Architects and Clients; monitoring and reporting on the progress of building projects; co-ordinating, instructing and monitoring of subcontractors and the Professional Design Team, particularly on Design and Build Projects.

We are looking for an enthusiastic young person interested in kick starting their career in construction with a joinery apprenticeship.
The role will be mainly North West based, although some of our Clients do work throughout the UK. Project values typically range from £100,000 to £4 million, and the work content is varied, ranging from traditional to design and build, new build and refurbishment. Our customer base ranges across Education, Leisure, Healthcare, Public Sector, Residential, Industrial and Commercial.
Purpose of Job: You will be carrying out general carpentry and joinery duties on all stages of the construction project.
Key responsibilities: • Working as part of a team of joiners on all stages of construction • Work is often at height on scaffolding, therefore you need to be good with heights • Working on completed projects undertaking snagging and remedial items • Take good care of tools and materials • Be an effective part of the site team • Committed and hardworking, as at times the work can be physically demanding
Day-to-Day Tasks: Over time through training, and depending on which site you work, your day-to-day tasks may include: • discussing plans and following instructions • cutting and shaping timber for floorboards, doors, skirting boards and window frames • making and fitting wooden structures like staircases, door frames, roof timbers and partition walls • making and assembling fitted and free-standing furniture • installing kitchens, cupboards and shelving • building temporary wooden supports to hold setting concrete in place (shuttering) • making and fitting interiors in shops, bars, restaurants, offices and public buildings
A training agreement will be co-ordinated with a local college.
