B&E Boys is proud to announce that apprentice Harley Rawstron has successfully completed his Level 3 Craft Carpentry and Joinery (Craft Site Carpentry) apprenticeship, marking a significant milestone in his journey from trainee to fully qualified craft joiner.
Harley completed his apprenticeship through Burnley College, where he combined hands-on site experience with technical study, developing the advanced skills and knowledge required to excel in modern construction.
A major milestone in a growing career
Achieving a Level 3 apprenticeship is no small feat. It represents years of consistent hard work, practical development on live projects, and a strong commitment to learning both on and off site.
Throughout his apprenticeship, Harley has shown real progression in key areas of site carpentry, including precision joinery, safe working practices, and adapting to the demands of fast-paced construction environments. His development has been shaped by both formal training and invaluable on-site experience with the B&E Boys team. He even won Construction Apprentice of the Year in February 2026!
Learning on real projects
Harley’s growth has been supported through his involvement in a range of live construction projects, where he has continued to build confidence and capability as part of the site teams.
Most recently, he has been contributing to the St John’s CE Thornham Primary School development in Middleton, helping deliver high-quality educational facilities through careful workmanship and attention to detail.
His practical experience has been central to his development, allowing him to apply classroom learning directly to real-world construction challenges.
More than just qualifications
While the qualification itself is a huge achievement, Harley’s journey has also been defined by his attitude and professionalism on site. He has consistently demonstrated a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a positive approach to teamwork – qualities that make a real difference on busy construction sites.
Over the course of his apprenticeship, he has also reached several personal milestones, including being recognised by colleagues for his contribution to the team and taking on increasing responsibility as his skills developed.
