B&E Boys attends Alder Grange School Career Day

11th November 2024

B&E Boys recently attended the Careers Day at Alder Grange School to share valuable insights about the construction industry. B&E Boys have a strong commitment to supporting education and local communities, and we see Career Days and educational events as a vital opportunity to engage with students and inspire the next generation of professionals.

Carl Wilde, Operations Manager, and Dan Johnson-Ord, Trainee Quantity Surveyor, attended the event to meet with students exploring future career opportunities. The team  highlighted the broad spectrum of career paths available within the construction industry, emphasising that there is truly “’a role for everyone’”; sharing with the students how the sector offers a variety of roles that extend well beyond the traditional image of construction.

For B&E Boys, supporting education is more than just corporate responsibility—it’s a fundamental part of their values. As a local company with deep roots in the community, they understand that investing in young people and providing them with knowledge about possible careers can inspire future talent. This connection between education and the local community reflects B&E Boys’ long-standing commitment to helping young people understand their options and the valuable contributions they can make within the industry.

Through events such as this, B&E Boys hopes to inspire the next generation of talent to consider a future in construction, thereby continuing their tradition of community-focused growth and development.

Sara Ashworth, of Alder Grange school said, “It was wonderful to see so many of our students engaged in conversations with you all.  I spoke to several students who had been inspired by the connections they had with you on the day, and I know that they will have learnt a lot about potential career paths and their next steps.”

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone at Alder Grange for inviting us again, and for the opportunity to engage with their students.
