B&E Boys celebrate annual Awards Ceremony for Staff
The annual awards ceremony has become an important date on the calendar for B&E Boys. It is a welcome chance for everyone at the company to take stock, reflect and celebrate what has been achieved during the year.
As ever, the 2019 Staff Awards represented a wonderful opportunity to applaud the contribution made by all staff at B&E Boys. 2019 has been a challenging year that has certainly not been without its fair share of ups and downs. It’s always worth reminding ourselves of the fantastic team effort that is so important to the company. Each and every staff member plays an essential part in the continued success of the business.
It’s also a notable moment as our company Accountant and Director, John Lee, has announced his retirement. John has given twenty years of service to B&E Boys and has shown unquestionable dedication and commitment throughout this time. The work of John Lee has undoubtedly added significantly to the success of the business. John is a rare breed, having just three jobs during his entire career – starting at Ben Barnes Transport. Our special thanks and recognition go to John. Everybody at B&E Boys would like to wish him a happy, healthy and long retirement.
During 2019, we have again been privileged to work on some fantastic projects, including Belmont Assisted Living Apartments in Stockport and the Oakenhead Housing Development in Rawtenstall. We recognise everyone’s contribution to the work of the company. Every job and role is as important as the next. It’s the hard work and dedication of all at the company which continues to enable us to continue to work as a regional and national contractor, housebuilder and property investment company.
The contributions that team members make are varied, including winning work contracts in increasingly challenging times, competitive buying, securing cash flow, ensuring value, and keeping sites tidy. Last but not least, we need to thank the tireless work of our many skilled tradesmen. It is their quality work that we pride ourselves in, and it is these employees who ensure that our new apprentices follow that same example.
The success of B&E Boys also relies on the dedicated customer-facing staff taking the initial phone calls from potential clients. The contribution of the staff who ensure that the place we work in is somewhere we like to be doesn’t go unnoticed either. They are usually the last people we see. Perhaps they make that last joke of the day that has us leaving the office with a smile on your face. All these little things really do count.
All these combined efforts have translated into new contracts that will commence in the new year. Our housebuilding division is as busy as ever with two more sites being submitted for planning in January. Not only that, we have the highest occupancy levels in probably two decades in our properties with another industrial property acquisition underway a lot to look forward to. 2019 has been a great year and 2020 is looking good too.
