B&E Boys Support Local Talent with Drum Donation to Rossendale Drum Majorettes
At B&E Boys, we’re always proud to support local organisations that make a positive impact in our community. Most recently, we were delighted to donate a set of snare drums to Rossendale Drum Majorettes – Rossendale’s only Drum Majorette group.
Founded in 2018 by Director Simon Creasey, Rossendale Drum Majorettes (RDM) is a vibrant, community-based performing arts group with their very own marching band. They’ve become a familiar and uplifting presence at local carnivals, fairs, fetes and fundraising events across the North West.
The group is entirely volunteer-run and continues to grow in popularity, thanks to their energetic performances and the inclusive environment they offer to all their members. Through music and performance, band members develop not only musical ability but also confidence, social skills and physical and mental wellbeing.
RDM train twice weekly – Tuesday and Friday evenings – at Whitewell Bottom Community Centre. Their sessions are open to young people from across the valley and beyond who want to get involved in something active, creative and community-driven.
The donation of drums, made in collaboration with Mike from the Oldham Scottish Pipe Band, comes just in time for the new season – helping to ensure the group continues to thrive.
RDM shared this lovely message:
“A huge thank you to B&E Boys Ltd and Mike from the Oldham Scottish Pipe Band for their incredibly kind donation of snare drums to our band! Your support means the world to us and will make a massive difference to our drummers as we head into the new season. We’re so grateful for your generosity – it’s people like you who help keep the music alive and marching forward!”
We’re thrilled to play a small part in helping this wonderful group continue their journey – and we can’t wait to see (and hear!) them out and about this summer.
