We’re proud to share that B&E Boys have been featured in Place North West this week, as part of a spotlight on the regeneration of a landmark Bacup site.
In partnership with Rossendale Council, we’re preparing to bring new life to the long-vacant Regal Cinema and snooker hall site. The approved plans, part of the wider Bacup 2040 Vision, will see the creation of five modern industrial units aimed at supporting local businesses and start-ups.
The article outlines how the former picture house and bingo hall will be cleared—along with partial demolition of adjacent properties on Burnley Road—to make way for a new two-storey building and supporting infrastructure. The scheme also includes key improvements to Hall Road and forms part of the broader regeneration efforts across Rossendale.
Architects Buttress, along with consultants Prime, Christians Environmental, and Flood Flow, are all playing important roles in the project. We’re aiming to be on site this autumn, with the ambition of delivering a vibrant new gateway into Bacup.
Cllr Andrew Walmsley called the moment “a proud one for Bacup,” while MP Andy MacNae described it as “a strong example of how long-term vision, patient partnership work and targeted investment can unlock meaningful change.”
