B&E Boys have welcomed a new key member of staff onto the team.
Nigel Hawkins joins us as Contracts Manager, having been tempted out of – as Nigel puts it himself – ‘semi-retirement’ to join the Boys team.
Nigel has an impressive CV and has spent all his working life in the construction industry. His most recent position was Construction Director at Warden Construction Ltd. During his career Nigel has been a Section manager, Site Manager, Project Manager, Operations Manager, and Contracts Manager.
During his extensive career, Nigel has been involved in a vast array of projects up to the value of £40 million. These are too numerous to mention them all here, but to give a flavour of the range and variety, completed projects have included many new build/upgrade/remodel/refurbishment of schools, hospitals (both public and private sector), GP units, universities, industrial units, student accommodation, hotels, apartment blocks, football stadiums, churches, libraries, various public buildings, leisure facilities, sports grounds, sports halls, office blocks, retail, lab facilities, and distribution warehouses.
Aside from work, Nigel is a committed family man with two grown-up children and two dogs. Nigel has lived in the Salford/Manchester area all his life and is a Manchester United season ticket holder. He and his wife, Debra, enjoy watching live music and attend around 30-40 gigs a year. Recent gigs include punk icons The Stranglers, and legendary Manchester band A Certain Ratio.
Everybody at B&E Boys would like to welcome Nigel to the team and wish him well in his new role.
