Intern Tom Law takes advice from Chartered QS Gareth Edmundson
Rossendale student Tom Law has joined B&E Boys Limited for a short internship to gain experience of Quantity Surveying and Buying in a Construction and Development Company.
Tom is currently studying an MSc in Quantity Surveying at Sheffield Hallam University.
Tom said “I’d like to thank John Boys for the opportunity of work experience, it has been an interesting couple of weeks where I have learnt a lot about the industry and job roles”
B&E Boys Limited are helping to train the next generation of trades personnel and professionals to assist the Company in it’s steady growth.
B&E Boys undertake construction projects nationally up to £5m contract value including public sector enterprise clients. The company are also building 50 new homes in the Rossendale area on it’s Whitehead Place and Whinberry View Sites with further housing planned over the next 5 to 10 years.
Industrial and commercial development is set to commence again on company owned Waters Meeting Bolton site next year where plans are to build over 150,000 sq foot for sale or to let to meet the growing demand in the area.
B&E Boys have industrial and commercial property to let in the North West and on competitive terms as well as having their own in house Construction Company and House Building Division.
B&E Boys is a family run business and has been trading for over 50 years and carries out construction from small to large projects, for both public sector and private enterprise. Clients include Local Authorities such as Bury Metro Council, Stockport Council, Rossendale Borough Council, health care for NHS and Private Healthcare providers Ramsay, as well as numerous developments in residential and industrial/ commercial arenas. B&E Boys are CITB and NHCB members. The Company also undertake design and build projects.
