At B&E Boys, supporting our local community has always been a cornerstone of who we are – and that includes backing the local sports clubs that bring people together and foster teamwork, passion, and pride. That’s why we’re proud to be continuing our sponsorship of Rossendale Rugby Club for the 2024/25 season.
As part of our ongoing relationship with the club, we recently carried out some essential maintenance work, including repainting the goalposts and supporting with improvements around the grounds. These works were completed in collaboration with the club’s dedicated groundsman, Simon Bond – whose father, Jim Bond (fondly known as ‘Vicar’), was once a valued Site Manager here at B&E Boys. It’s a connection we’re especially proud of, and it makes our involvement with the club all the more meaningful.
We were delighted to attend the recent Sponsors Day at Rossendale Rugby Club, where we had the chance to watch a training session, preview the newly sponsored team strip, and witness the unveiling of the club’s newest pitch-side spectator stand. The energy and commitment from Coach Andrew Birtwistle and the team were inspiring, and it was great to see how well-prepared they are for the new season.
Sponsorship is about more than branding and visibility, although those benefits certainly exist. It’s about standing behind the organisations that matter to our local area and helping ensure they continue to thrive. At a time when many grassroots clubs are feeling the pressure of rising costs, even a small contribution can make a big impact.
Whether it’s through financial support or rolling up our sleeves for maintenance work, we’re committed to giving back where we can. We encourage other local businesses to get involved too — it’s rewarding, impactful, and a brilliant way to stay connected to the people and places that make Rossendale special.
Here’s to a fantastic season ahead for Rossendale Rugby Club – we’ll be supporting every step of the way.
