B&E Boys are pleased to announce that the £638k Manchester Communication Academy Sports Pavilion Project has now reached completion. It will not be long before the students at the school, staff, and members of the local community will be able to start enjoying the new facilities that the Sports Pavilion provides. As always it was a pleasure to work with AA Projects, who were project managers for the Pavilion project.
Manchester Communication Academy is a new school, having only opened in 2010. Located in Harpurhey, an area of the city which has suffered from deprivation in the past, the Academy has come to represent the regeneration that has occurred in the area over the last few years. The construction of a new Sports Pavilion for the Academy is an important aspect of the drive to improve services and facilities for the local community.
The Sports Pavilion itself features piled foundations, brick and block walls, and a Kingspan Roof System. In addition, four new changing rooms, referee changing areas and disabled facilities have been incorporated into the design. The focus was very much on delivering changing facilities that are of an excellent standard, as well as providing a safe and secure environment.
B&E Boys are proud to add the Manchester Communication Academy Sports Pavilion project to our record of delivering projects within the education sector. The company has a proud history of providing state-of-the-art facilities that not only benefit the schools involved, but also the wider communities that they serve. Examples of similar projects include the construction of a new Sports Centre at Sedbergh School and a Ball Hall at Philip’s High School in Whitefield, Manchester; and Leicester Community Sports Arena.
