Following a very successful event last year, B&E Boys were pleased to once again be invited to take part in a Careers Convention at Thorn Primary School in Bacup last month. The event focused on raising children’s awareness of the variety of job opportunities that are available in the local community, getting them to think about their long-term future and to raise their aspirations.
Pupils were given the opportunity to speak to employers from a range of sectors so that they could find out about what different jobs entail.
The children obviously took much from the convention and from our point of view it was a great way to spend a couple of hours.
Cliché or not, the schoolchildren of today are the workforce of tomorrow. B&E Boys will always be happy to what we can to help pupils think about future careers and the world of work.
