We’d like to say a big congratulations to Miller Heywood, who has completed his Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery apprenticeship.
Miller has been part of the B&E Boys team as a joinery apprentice. Over the course of his apprenticeship, he has shown a real willingness to learn and develop his skills. He was also recognised in our B&E Boys Staff Awards with the Positive Attitude award. His team spirit, willingness to learn and upbeat approach have made him a valued member of the team.
His apprenticeship has also given him the chance to work on some interesting projects and meet some very important people. During the redevelopment of the Root Farm buildings in Dunsop Bridge, Lancashire, B&E Boys were honoured to welcome His Majesty The King to the site.
The King is a strong supporter of apprenticeships and has spoken about the importance of giving young people opportunities to learn practical skills.
During his visit, The King toured the site and met members of the project team. He was introduced to Miller, along with fellow apprentices Billy Dawson and Harley Rawstron.
Miller and Billy were training in joinery, while Harley was completing a brickwork apprenticeship. All three apprentices had played a direct role in the work taking place at Root Farm.
Meeting The King was a memorable moment for Miller and a great experience to have during his apprenticeship.
Now that he has completed his Level 2 qualification, we’re looking forward to seeing what comes next for Miller.
Well done, Miller, and congratulations on completing your apprenticeship!
