B & E Boys are proud to be members of the Construction Development Alliance, also known as the CDA. The alliance has allowed us to grow our network and develop strong professional relationships within our industry. The CDA are very careful to select only one business from a particular discipline and this enables us to access new business opportunities.
CDA have recently held an awards ceremony to acknowledge the young members of the construction community who are already making waves in the industry. The event was hosted by Dominic Littlewood, who is best known for his role on Cowboy Builders. B & E Boys would like to say “a very big congratulations” to all the winners, including Pearl Cavaney, Bobby Bolton and Lucy Anderson.
Pearl Cavaney, Winner Young Designer
Pearl enrolled on the A-Level Product Design program after leaving school in 2014. She has developed an excellent portfolio with ideas which she hopes to produce. We wish Pearl every success for her future as she takes up her place at Nottingham Trent University for furniture design.
Bobby Bolton, Winner Young Construction Professional
After leaving Loughborough University, Bobby has been part of a Lend Lease’s company graduate scheme. As part of the complicated procurement process Bobby produced an innovative tool for measuring materials. Alan Bates, Lendlease Executive General Manager for Construction in London, said, “Bobby is one of the most impressive graduates I have reviewed”. Congratulations Bobby!
Lucy Anderson, Winning Young Construction Environmentalist
Lucy is studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at Sheffield Hallam University. The Principal Lecturer at the university gave these comments, “Lucy has shown interest in a broad range of subjects and understands the importance of a holistic view of environmental issues and solutions. Not only that, but her academic achievement has been exceptionally high in some modules, where she achieved some of the highest marks we have ever awarded”.
As members of the CDA we want to develop strong relationships with other members including ACME Facilities Group, Forbes Solicitors and Bowland Tree Consultancy Limited. Always striving to increase awareness about what we offer. B & E Boys are extremely proud that we are a family run business which was founded in 1961 by Brian and Elaine Boys. We are proud to cover a wide spectrum of industry projects including Housing, Education, NHS, Public and Private sector. As a company we also have an extensive property portfolio, offering both commercial and residential leases including units at the Kingfisher Centre and The Corn Exchange.
