We wanted to give a huge welcome to another new member of staff, Elley Ormerod, who has taken on the role as Assistant Quantity Surveyor
After completing her A-levels Elley left college at 17 unsure on what she wanted to pursue as a career. She was offered an opportunity of summer work at a local construction firm and from this experience took a liking to the Quantity Surveyor role. What appealed to her was the mix of being on site and in the office as well as not every day being the same. Elley then moved to Seddon Construction ,who sponsored her Quantity Surveying degree , and worked there for 5 years. After qualifying and gaining sufficient experience in the industry she felt it was the right time to move on to the next challenge, which turned out to be at B&E Boys. Being local she explained she had always been aware of B&E Boys, seeing our logo throughout the Rossendale Valley and (not that she follows football) on the turf at Burnley Football Club as well as admiring our company values as they mirror her own. We understand that Elley LOVES Food, talking about food, making food, and mainly eating it. Regularly ending her day by asking the team what it is they’re having for tea. She also enjoys fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She previously studied Latin and Ballroom dancing at a Sanderson Dance & Fitness Centre since the young age of 3. Regularly competing at the Tower Ballroom, nationally and participating in shows at Burnley Mechanics. She did go on to teach dancing at the school and regularly helping out at the weekend. Travelling is another passion of Elley, in 2018 she travelled Vietnam from top to bottom which she explained was amazing. She is keen to see more places in the world, on her bucket list is Cuba, Almalfi Coast and Australia. Welcome to the team Elley from all at B&E Boys!
