Boys win fast track industrial project
B and E Boys beat off stiff competition to win the 16 week £1.6 million contract to fit out Gateway 22 Manufacturing base for Irish owned Ferguson Polycom in Chadderton.
Founded in 1911 by the Ferguson family, the company started producing high quality natural rubber coated fabrics for rainwear and the fashion industries. Today the company still operates from the same site in Oldham, Lancashire but through continual evolvement and focused customer based product diversification Ferguson Polycom has achieved the enviable reputation as a world-renowned producer of custom rubber compounds and specialty elastomer coated fabrics.
The project involves the installation of several manufacturing areas, associated staff and personnel facilities, refurbishment, the installation of a Toluene Plant and Heavy M&E installations to accommodate a new manufacturing process.
The project is an exciting phase in the history of Ferguson Polycom and enables the company to relocate from an outdated multi storey facility in the Town, to a more purpose built facility.
