We are pleased to announce that Mattress Tek – an industry-leading name in mattress-making – are expanding. The company have agreed a deal to take on an extra 6,000 square feet of space at their Forest Mill base in Water.
This will see the footprint of Mattress Tek’s premises increase to almost 22,000 square feet. Mattress Tek specialises in production line automation for the mattress and bed sectors. The original space on the shop floor is being used to house the fabrication, build and electrical departments – as well as office, meeting room, and break-out space. The additional space will be used to accommodate a new showroom for selected machines within the Mattress Tek range, alongside new machines that are currently under development.
Mattress Tek can boast 40 years of combined experience in the mattress industry. Their specialism is the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of mattress-making machinery. With their vast experience comes the expertise necessary that enables Mattress Tek to improve the operational performance of their client’s businesses.
The company is dedicated to the development of long-term customer relationships. Mattress Tek provides extensive support and technical expertise. All Mattress Tek machines are designed in-house using either their own manufacturing facilities, and the latest state-of-the-art Amada machinery equipment.
Shaun Peel, technical director, said: “Our growth and demand, to cater to our international customers, through our export pursuits, has meant we have kept our eyes out for a suitable space to physically expand.
“The fact that the unit next door at our current site has now become available is a great opportunity to further grow at our current location, following the addition of an office, canteen, stock store and mezzanine for our electrical team.
“We look forward to welcoming customers to our site from across America, Australia, Europe and here in the UK.”
Mattress Tek relocated from Altham to Rossendale back in 2019. Lancashire remains highly important to the company, as 96% of its suppliers come from across the county.
