Men’s Health Week – A Reminder to Look After Yourself

16th June 2026

Following on from our Wear It Green campaign in May, this week marks Men’s Health Week – a chance to pause, reflect, and remind ourselves that looking after our health matters just as much as the work we do.

At B&E Boys, safety is always at the heart of what we do on site. We take pride in looking out for each other, making sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day. But health isn’t just about hard hats, harnesses and site rules – it’s also about how we’re doing mentally and physically outside of work too.

This week is a good reminder to take a bit of time for yourself. That might mean getting enough rest, staying active, eating properly, or simply stepping away when you need a break. It could also be about something a bit more difficult — booking that appointment you’ve been putting off, or checking in on something that doesn’t feel quite right.

Small things make a big difference over time, and looking after yourself isn’t something to put at the bottom of the list.

Just as importantly, it’s about looking out for each other. We spend our days working as a team, so let’s continue that mindset beyond the job. A quick chat, a simple “are you alright?”, or noticing when someone’s not quite themselves can go a long way. You never really know the impact a conversation might have.

And remember, if you do need someone to talk to, you’re not on your own. Our Mental Health First Aiders, Katie, Becky and Andrew, are always here for a chat and to offer support whenever it’s needed.

There’s no pressure to have all the answers or to carry things alone. Looking after your health is part of being able to show up at work, at home, and for the people around you.

So this week, take a moment for yourself, and take a moment for your mates too.
