B&E Boys are delighted to announce our latest education project: the construction of a brand new two-storey sports pavilion for Tytherington School in Macclesfield.
The scheme represents a significant investment in the school’s facilities and will support both student development and wider community use. The 50-week programme of works includes a full new substructure and superstructure, internal finishes throughout, lift installation, mechanical and electrical services, and associated external works and drainage.
A modern hub for sport, study and community life
Designed to enhance the school’s sporting provision and create new opportunities for physical activity, the pavilion will offer a versatile mix of spaces. The ground floor will include a welcoming common room, a café area, quiet study space, toilets, and high quality changing and shower facilities. Many of these areas will also be available for community use outside of school hours, strengthening the school’s role at the heart of Tytherington.
On the first floor, new space will be added for the school’s growing population, particularly supporting the aspirations of its thriving sixth form.
Supporting active lifestyles
Alongside the pavilion, the project includes new cycle parking to encourage sustainable and active travel, as well as a new ball-catch net to improve safety and playability of the sports grounds. The changing rooms, toilets and viewing gallery will be available as part of the hire of the artificial grass pitch, with the common room and café offered for community hire at a modest additional cost.
