In September this year B & E Boys Let Unit P, Toll Bar Business Park to Vicky and Steve Everson, an enthusiastic couple with a shared passion for aviation, so much so they were married on board the Concorde in Manchester!
Flightdeck Experience is an enterprise run by Vicky and her husband Steve Everson. Vicky explains the flightdeck experience…
“The business was born from a life-long love of aviation and a long standing hobby of flight simulation. For several years Steve has been a simulation enthusiast and has even built a Boeing 737-800 NG replica flightdeck at home. This has had several incarnations in both our previous home and was the priority when we moved into this area. We had been talking about it for some time and finally decided to take the plunge and open it up as a venue for anyone to come and join us to take the controls of an airliner in the only flight simulator experience in the North West. When we started looking for a location we wanted it to be somewhere local. On the way past one day, Steve noticed there were units available in Toll Bar. When we walked in, we saw the large painting of Concorde over the stairs and knew we were in the right place! We originally looked at smaller space to house just the simulator but when we were shown Unit P, we knew it was perfect, a real light bulb moment! So the brainchild was formed to build part of the aircraft cabin and a departure lounge making this a much more versatile venue, meaning that customers coming to fly can bring friends and family with them and we can also cater to larger groups, both private and corporate.”
