Oakenhead Housing Development Update: Plots selling fast!
Reservations are being made very quickly on the Oakenhead Housing Development in Rawtenstall.
The show house, Plot 1, is open this weekend, on Saturday from 11.00am to 3.00pm and Sunday, from 11.00am to 4.00pm. If you don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to snap up one of these highly sought-after properties, we would urge you to be quick.
Plots 3,5,6,7 and 8 have already been reserved and four contracts have been exchanged already.
In all, the Oakenhead Development consists of 19 brand new homes, featuring a mix of eleven 3-bedroom properties and six 4-bedroom properties, and two dormer bungalows.
The development replaces the legacy building, the Oakenhead Resource Centre, which was closed in 2014 by Lancashire County Council. As the land has been previously developed, the Oakenhead site is sustainable and will make wonderful use of a vacant site. B&E Boys are always looking to get involved in projects that help to regenerate and reinvigorate local communities. Creating new family homes to meet the increasing demand for housing in the local area will certainly help to enrich the community around the vicinity of the new development at Oakenhead.
As expected, there has been a high demand for new family homes in such a desirable location. Of course, it is an area of outstanding beauty offering stunning moorland walks right on the doorstep and several lovely villages boasting a fantastic range of independent shops and cafes.
The location is also perfectly placed within walking distance of local amenities, schools and sports facilities. Looking further afield, Oakenhead has fantastic transport links. Towns such as Rochdale and Burnley are easily accessible, as are the M65 and M66 corridors.
Plot 11, at £330,000 is a detached 4-bed property. The master bedroom features an ensuite and there is also a family bathroom. Plot 10 is also available for £275,000. This superb 3-bedroom home also features two bathrooms (one ensuite). This linked detached house, The Whitewell, with garage comprises of an entrance hall leading to the living room and then onto an open plan kitchen/dining area. There is also a utility room and WC to the ground floor.
Plot 2 and Plot 4, both £255,000, are impressive semi-detached 4-bedroom properties set over 3 storeys. The Ogden features a garage and the ground floor has a WC off the hallway, which leads to an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The first floor has 2 bedrooms, a study and the main family bathroom. The second floor comprises a spacious master bedroom with an ensuite.
Last but not least, Plot 9 is a beautiful 3-bedroom semi-detached home, available for just £240,000.
All properties come with NHBC 10-year structural guarantee. All homes can be bought with Help to Buy.
We are proud to be a local company, with a predominantly local workforce. We also use many local suppliers for materials, fixtures & fittings as well as their business services.
B&E Boys are well known in Rossendale for our extensive and varied property portfolio. Wherever possible when we build new homes, we reciprocate with our tenants.
This is a theme that flows through the whole build process from the Groundworkers, Croft Design Contractors Limited, who rent a small yard from B&E Boys in Waterfoot to the Landscape Gardeners, Liam Boardman Landscapes, & McNulty Plastering and Rendering Limited who both rent secure container & self-storage units. Furthermore, the showhouse floor coverings are supplied and fitted by JB Carpets Ltd, who operate from Toll Barr Business Park in Stacksteads. The showhouse interior design was completely co-ordinated and dressed by Vicky Callum Soft Furnishings and Interior Design, a tenant at the Kingfisher Business Centre in Rawtenstall. Even Estate Agents Ryder & Dutton, who have handled the marketing of the Oakenhead development rent a small retail outlet in Bacup from B&E Boys.
Reciprocation is massively important to B&E Boys Ltd, as is using and sourcing local companies to supply products and materials that give that extra bit of quality that only local people can provide, such as JJO Kitchens, All About Tiles at Cloughfold, and Joe Curran Decoration from Bacup.
Once again, we would urge you to be quick if you think you might be interested in one of the remaining properties. Why not come down and look at the show home on the Open Day on Saturday 30 November, from 10.00-3.00pm however thereafter on Sunday, and every Saturday and Sunday for the remainder of the year, it is open from 11am until 4pm?
