Industrial Units To Let Blackburn, Kenyon Street Site Sold to Blackburn With Darwen Council As Part Of The New Penine Reach Project.
B and E Boys have agreed a deal with Blackburn with Darwen Council to help facilitate the Pennine Reach link road from the Town Centre. The Kenyon Street Site off Burnley Road was home to a Space Self Storage Blackburn outlet and a number of other tenancies. B and E Boys relocated Space Self Storage Blackburn to its Wensley Road site near Blackburn College as well as offering tenants alternative accommodation in Units to Let Blackburn, Bury, Bolton, and Rossendale.
Pennine Reach is a rapid bus transport scheme which is aimed at improving public transport along the Accrington – Blackburn – Darwen corridors linking in with the strategic east-west and north-south railway lines.
The project is a Major Transport Scheme funding bid to the Department for Transport and is being jointly led by the two local highway authorities: Lancashire County Council and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
The aims of the project are to:
- Reduce congestion on the road network
- Reduce bus journey times and improve the reliability of bus services.
- Improve public transport provision to key strategic employment sites
- Support the regeneration of Pennine Lancashire’s towns.
B and E Boys offer industrial and commercial properties to let as well as undertaking major redevelopment work including the 45 acre site at Waters Meeting Bolton.
