In July 2016, B & E Boys commenced construction work at Manchester Health Academy working with consultants AA Projects and structural engineers Frederick Marklands. The project involved the refurbishment and re-development of the existing areas to the value of £650,000.
B & E Boys love a challenge and we knew that this project was going to require a particularly skilled workforce. The first phase of this project was subject to a tight schedule which meant that the development of new teaching spaces and fire safety work needed to be completed within a short period. During this time the building was still in use and so we needed to work whilst creating minimal disturbance and ensuring the safeguarding of the children at all times.
B & E Boys have extensive experience in working on educational facilities and we are delighted to be partnering Manchester Health Academy with their developments. The Academy is proud to endorse the principal of access to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum where British values are promoted and opportunities are equal for all students.
The next phase of the project sees the extension of the dining facility and B & E Boys will hand this over to the school in November 2016.
B & E Boys work across a wide spectrum of construction projects in the commercial sector, however we are also proud to work on many residential projects. Recently B & E Boys completed the 1st phase on Whinberry Place, a stylish development of family homes which are located within beautiful surroundings whilst offering easy access to the motorway network and Manchester City Centre.
Although the company has been established for over 50 years, B & E Boys understand the importance of keeping up to date with the latest techniques in construction. This allows us to develop the skills and capabilities of our workforce, combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting edge techniques.
B & E Boys wish both the staff and pupils at Manchester Academy the very best of luck for the new academic year.
