Reviving Books And Industrial Space

21st December 2012

Thriving  company expand into Boys Space

A  rare opportunity to rent space at the popular Hugh Business Park in Waterfoot arose and Revival Books snapped up the chance to rent 20,000 sq ft.

Revival Books started trading as a small book shop in 2007 in Crawshawbooth in Rossendale.  The books were also sold worldwide over the internet on sites such as Amazon, Ebay, Abebooks and Alibris. Over the course of the first year, internet sales increased rapidly whereas sales over the counter declined.  After 18 months it was decided to close the shop, expand into a warehouse and just to sell online.

In 5 years Revival Books staff have grown from 3 to 40 all from the Rossendale area and the portfolio of selling sites increased to include Amazon.com – USA (now our largest export market), Amazon.de – Germany (our second largest export market), Amazon.fr – France and Amazon.ca – Canada.

12 months  ago the business established a book buying website called http://www.webuybooks.co.uk/  Later the site was upgraded to also purchase DVD’s, CD’s and video games.  The site helps turn unwanted items which previously might have been thrown away into exports or cash for customers.  Revival Books are creating additional value for the UK economy by selling recycled books, CD’s, DVD’s and video games all over the world. Central to the philosophy is providing first class customer service and they encourage feedback using the independent Trust Pilot.

They also buy library and charity shop surplus books working with over 50 library services across the UK and some 300 charity shops.

“Over the past year, Revival Books has almost doubled their staff and likewise with sales, which is one of the main reasons for needing more warehouse space and moving to a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Waterfoot owned by B.E. Boys.”   Mike Lane, Director Revival Books.

Hugh Business Park is situated on Bacup Road in Waterfoot and accessible for all routes to Rawtenstall, Bacup, Burnley and close to the motorway links.

It features industrial units from 1,360 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft some with offices.  Tenants on the popular site include Independent Land Rover Services and Michael Tighe Removals.  It also includes Soulmate Foods Limited http://www.soulmatefood.com/ who prepare lifestyle food menus to assist  detoxing and weight loss and have supplied their menus to Olympic athletes like Jason Kenny and many celebrities including Charlie Brookes.
