RSPCA sign 10 year lease on former Booze Buster, Bank Street Rawtenstall.
The RSPCA and B & E Boys have just reached an agreement for a 10 year lease of the former Booze Buster shop on Bank Street Rawtenstall. B & E Boys acquired the shop on Bank Street with Booze Buster who held a 10 year lease at the time. However a restructure at the cheap booze store meant many of it local stores were closed.
B & E Boys spent a substantial amount of money renovating the shop and the two bedroomed flat above and within 6 months both the flat and shop are now fully let. Boys have shops and flats located in Waterfoot and Bacup and saw the opportunity to acquire the Bank Street shop when Booze Buster sold off many of its local shops 6 years ago.
The RSPCA will open a charity shop on the popular Rossendale shopping area. Bank Street is home to the ill fated Valley Centre. The Valley Centre forms a large portion of the shopping area and requires significant investment to improve the retail facilities in the Town Centre. Council officials are working hard to ensure the current owners, CNC properties conclude proposals to redevelop the area which is widely publicised as one of the town centres biggest’ eye sores’.
