When B & E Boys were awarded the contract for the restoration and maintenance of the stunning grade II listed, St Mary’s Chambers, we were honoured to be involved. Not only is St Mary’s a stunning piece of architecture, it has a rich local history, including use as an air raid assembly point during the Second World War. The building was part of the community, providing a meeting place for the local old age pensioner association, however it fell into a ruinous state which had made it impossible to maintain.
Now restored to its former glory, the building is once again a hub for the local community. The re-named Senior Citizens Association have retained the right for use and local businesses are utilising the modern office facilities.
Additionally, the re-development also includes Rossendale’s Premier Function Suite, available for hire for meetings, weddings, parties and events. The concept was to build a banqueting suite for the community and B & E Boys are now delighted to announce that two local business entrepreneurs have signed a three-year lease to provide in house catering.
Maria Teoli and Allan Taylor are no strangers to the catering industry as they have already been running a successful catering service for many years. They bring a wealth of expertise to the new venture and the bookings are already filling up quickly.
