At B&E Boys, we are passionate about supporting the next generation of construction professionals by providing meaningful work experience opportunities for local students.
Earlier this year, we welcomed Year 10 students Jonathan Ashworth and Reuben to the team, giving them the chance to experience first-hand what it’s like to work within the construction industry. During their placements, they spent time with members of our experienced team, learning about the wide variety of careers available across the sector and gaining valuable insight into how construction projects are planned, managed and delivered.
From skilled trades and engineering to project management and specialist roles, we hope both students left with a greater understanding of the many career paths available and the skills required to succeed within the industry.
Work experience plays an important role in helping young people explore future career options, develop confidence and gain practical knowledge in a professional environment. As a business, we are proud to support local schools by helping students make informed decisions about their future careers.
Following the placements, we were delighted to receive a letter of thanks from Alder Grange School, recognising the time, care and support our team provided throughout the week. The school highlighted the importance of work experience in helping young people understand the world of work, build confidence and discover the opportunities available to them, while thanking B&E Boys for contributing to such a valuable experience.
