B & E Boys have been building homes and commercial properties for the last 50 years. Whilst our company works on projects all across the United Kingdom, we are proud to have worked on projects which affect the local people directly.
In the UK there is currently a shortage of new homes being built, a problem which the government is attempting to address via a £3 billion Home Building Fund. This fund is open to applications from builders who are looking to secure funds to build new homes.
B & E Boys were able to secure a loan via this initiative for the development of Whinberry Place Housing Development, Rossendale. Without access to the funds, a smaller family building company like B & E Boys might not be able to secure the funding required to build homes for the local community.
Peter Boys, Director at B & E Boys, gave this statement, “HCA (Homes Community Agency) has dramatically improved our ability to build new homes and give customers the opportunity to buy them. Before working with HCA, obtaining funding as a SME was virtually impossible. HCA are playing a huge role in helping developers deliver much needed new homes to the open market, without loan finance from HCA, Whinberry Place would still be a derelict place.
The Whinberry Place development is now complete and the houses are selling fast. A stylish collection of three/four bedroomed homes, the location offers a rural setting with easy access to motorway networks. The master bedrooms are completed with an en-suite with the benefit of an additional family bathroom. The new residents of the development are enjoying the peace and tranquility of the countryside, whilst still being in easy reach of nearby cities
Statistics have shown that in the UK we need to be building 250,000 homes per year and this demand is not currently being met. This had led to an increase in families who are privately renting their homes, but renting is unstable and often the homes are not kept to a good standard.
By accessing these available funds, smaller builders like B & E Boys can address the shortage of new homes and provide a high standard of living for the local community.
