Refurbishment at 900-student mainstream secondary school
This project comprised refurbishment works at Cedar Mount Academy. The proposed works were intended to promote a much-enhanced Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) provision, and to enhance their existing pastoral care, especially for students for whom English is an additional language (EAL) and who may join the school at any stage from year 7 to year 10.
This project was carried out in a Phased approach within several areas (and floors) of a live building. Safety and accessibility (along with dust and noise) were all carefully managed with areas controlled, padlocked and secured to ensure that visitors and trades personnel could not freely access non-work areas.
