A ‘fast track’ fit out of a new shell at a cardboard tube manufacturing facility
The main shop floor was fitted out with high level glue lines, Compressed Air, power, lighting and water as a specific requirement for the specialist machinery being utilised as part of the facility. The heating system was fired by a Biomass installation and a separate Biomass fuel store was constructed additional to the project. This comprised very much of a bespoke engineering design in order to ensure the process functioned correctly.
B&E Boys were required to work closely with the structural engineers and also enter into dialogue with the specialist installer of the Biomass equipment. An office facility was constructed with raised access flooring, partition ceilings, canteen, toilet, wash and shower facilities. New server rooms and toilet blocks were constructed using new blockwork walls along with a dividing wall to segregate the office area from that of the main shop floor. Given the height and unsupported nature of the wall, B&E Boys were required to implement steelwork supports to ensure the installation was robust.
