Oldham Sixth Form College increased height

Extension and refurbishment project comprising a double height extension to the main entrance and internal alterations to the Duncan Lawton Building along with internal remodelling and partial infill of the external courtyard within the existing Arts Department. The project was subject multiple changes, some of which were significant, namely the remodelling of existing ground floor classrooms which also necessitated acoustic criteria to a recording studio and music rooms.

The scheme was very challenging as we were required to work in and around a live College, during exam periods, and plan certain disruptive activities during half term shutdowns. Throughout the contract period, B&E Boys worked well with the College in order to keep disruption to a minimum. The project was completed on time and within budget.
