B&E Boys always look for opportunities to support the development of local children in schools. Over the years we have participated in a wide range of events that have helped students to think about the world of work.
Earlier this week Burnley College held an awards evening for the approximately 20 local secondary school students who have participated in the Construction Professionals Programme. During the 12 weeks, the students had the chance to try out different areas of the construction industry by attending various taster sessions at Burnley College.
These young people now have a clearer idea of the variety of career opportunities in the industry. They now realise that no two days are ever the same and there’s so much more to the construction than simply building houses. This should mean that they can now make a more informed choice when it comes to choosing a college course.
It was an honour to be invited to attend the awards and be able to congratulate all the young people that have participated in the programme and wish them luck in the next stage of their education and training.
“Well done again to all that completed the course!”
