B&E Boys tenant, The Little Lancashire Village, moved into Unit 3, Maltings Mill in Burnley back in 2020. This family business is a children’s roleplay centre that allows kids to have a go at loads of jobs including being a firefighter or a postal worker. They want to encourage imaginations running wild as well as children getting curious about the world around them.
Holly Harker opened the first village in 2020 in Burnley. The Village is based inside an old industrial mill in the centre of Burnley and has a variety of shops and job roles to inspire and allow your child to get into character, to engage with other children, learn to socialise and share all whilst acting out real life roles. Following the great success of their first location, they opened another village in Rawtenstall in February 2022, based at the Corn Exchange in the centre of Rawtenstall, again with a variety of shops and job roles!
Their sessions are pre-bookable online and run at set times throughout the day with a fixed duration. There are a pre-defined number of spaces available at each session so all little ones can enjoy what their Little Lancashire Village has to offer. They close for a small amount of time in between sessions to reset the areas and clean so that you would never know anyone has been.
Holly, a former teacher, told Lancs Live “We have been really lucky with people booking way in advance, and people seem to really like it. It’s about learning through play; that’s how we like to see it.”
They offer a different party packages at both locations. All packages include exclusive hire for 1 hour 45 minutes, food and drink and a birthday cars which will be hidden in the post office mail. Depending on which package you go for, you could also get pastel themed decorations, themed party bags, an age balloon and either invitation (pdf to print at home) or printed themed invitations!
They have also recently introduced their SEN (Special Educational Needs) Easter Sessions, running at both locations. These packages are Build a Bunny sessions and Easter Craft Sessions. Both include an easter egg hunt and an easter egg.
