B&E Boys were pleased to be invited back to Thorn Primary School’s Careers Convention!
They have had a long relationship with Thorn Primary School, having supported this event for nine years. Education and supporting our local communities is very important to us at B&E Boys, and offering this awareness to the children at Thorn Primary School is one of the ways we are able to help. Having that support and advice is very important for pupils to choose appropriate and fulfilling careers in the future. This event teaches children of the variety of jobs that are available in the local community and beyond, giving insights into achieving their own goals.
Katie Whitham, who attended with Mike Carney, said, “The event showcases local businesses to Year 6 and Year 4 pupils to give them an idea of the differing careers that they can pursue as they grow. It’s always really successful!”
Lauren Burr, the Business Support Officer at Thorn Primary School said “The children thoroughly enjoyed the event, especially the interaction and participation, and the information you provided supporting your profession has given them a great deal of ‘food for thought’ with regards to their future careers.
Due to its great success, we will definitely be holding another event next year, and hope very much that you will join us again in our attempt to point the children in the right direction for their future careers.
