Last week, teams across B&E Boys came together to support Wear It Green Day as part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 – and thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’re proud to say we raised an amazing £163.50 for the Mental Health Foundation.
From Head Office and Kingfisher to our teams out on site, it was fantastic to see so many people getting involved, wearing green, joining in with conversations, and showing support for such an important cause.
A Brilliant Team Effort
The day was all about encouraging people to take a moment to check in with each other and keep conversations around mental health open and visible.
Throughout the day, Becky visited Head Office, Kingfisher and various sites with treats, informal “Tea and Talk” catch-ups, and the much-anticipated jelly bean guessing game, which certainly brought out everyone’s competitive side!
More importantly, the day created opportunities for people to pause, have a chat, and remember that mental health deserves the same attention and care as physical health.
Why It Matters
Construction can be a demanding industry, and while conversations around wellbeing are becoming more common, there is still work to do to make mental health support feel completely normal and accessible.
At B&E Boys, we’re committed to helping create a culture where people feel comfortable speaking openly, checking in on colleagues, and asking for support when they need it.
We’re also proud to continue supporting the Make It Visible campaign from the Lighthouse Charity, alongside the work of our trained Mental Health First Aiders, Katie, Andrew and Becky, who are always there to offer support, guidance, or simply a listening ear.

Mental Health Awareness Week may only last seven days, but the conversations it encourages are important all year round.
Sometimes the smallest gestures, a quick chat, a cup of tea, or simply asking someone how they’re doing, can make a much bigger difference than we realise.
