On 21st October 2025, we joined organisations worldwide in observing World Mental Health Day, a timely reminder that looking after wellbeing is just as important as the work we do on site. At B&E Boys, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and their mental health and wellbeing is always a top priority.

We are proud to support the Make It Visible campaign, which raises awareness and provides vital support for mental health in the construction industry. By fostering an open and supportive culture, we aim to build not only strong projects, but also a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and heard.

Investing in Skills to Support Our Team

There’s no health without mental health. At B&E Boys, we believe supporting our people means recognising the whole person — offering the right support, at the right time, when it’s needed most.

We are delighted to share some fantastic news from our team:

  • Andrew Horsfield recently became a Mental Health First Responder, having completed the Leafyard Mental Health First Responder Course in June 2025. This training equips him to provide initial support to anyone experiencing a decline in mental wellbeing — a vital skill in any workplace.

  • Katie Whitham successfully completed the Mental Health First Aider training through MHFA England® from 7th–10th July 2025. This recognised programme enables her to identify, understand, and assist colleagues who may be experiencing mental health challenges, encouraging early intervention and support.

We are incredibly proud of Andrew and Katie for taking on these responsibilities. Their new skills will help ensure that B&E Boys remains a safe, supportive, and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
